Who We Are

Our Story

Born from Courage. Built on Compassion. Sustained by Hope.

When Logan was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disease Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM), life changed overnight. As he lost the ability to walk, traditional therapies alone were not enough to restore his strength.

Driven by a lifelong belief in the healing power of animals, Logan’s mother introduced rescued animals into his recovery—despite uncertainty from others. What began as hope soon became something extraordinary.

Through daily care, connection, and trust, Logan slowly rebuilt his strength, balance, and confidence. The animals became more than companions—they became partners in healing.

Behind it all, Logan’s father worked tirelessly to build the spaces that made this journey possible—creating safe environments where both animals and people could begin again.

From this experience, a powerful truth emerged: healing is possible when compassion and connection come together.

Logan’s H.E.A.R.T. — Healing Equine Alliance for Recovery & Transformation — was born from that truth.

Today, we rescue at-risk animals and create meaningful human–animal connections that foster physical recovery, emotional resilience, and renewed hope.

Because we believe every life deserves a second chance—and a difficult beginning should never define the ending of a story.

Our Purpose

Logan’s H.E.A.R.T. stands as a living reminder that resilience, compassion, and the bond between humans and animals can overcome even the hardest challenges. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and partnership, we strive to create pathways of healing for both animals and the people who need them most.

Our Vison

A world where rescued animals and people facing physical or emotional challenges find healing together, proving that compassion, connection, and second chances can transform lives.

Could This Organization Help YOU or Someone You Love?

Healing Happens in Many Different Ways

Logan's H.E.A.R.T. began with one child's journey through physical recovery, but our purpose reaches far beyond one diagnosis.

Through meaningful connections with rescued animals, we hope to provide a safe and welcoming environment for people navigating physical recovery, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, major life changes, and other difficult seasons.

Sometimes you don't need a diagnosis. You just need a little hope.

How we can help

Meet the H.E.A.R.T. Herd

Romeo

Romeo

Romeo

Our Herd Dad and very first kill-pen rescue, Romeo quickly became the heart and guardian of our herd.  He has a special way of watching over us, especially the little ones. Protective, patient, and without a mean bone in his body, Romeo is a gentle soul who takes care of everyone around him—and truly the sweetest gelding you'll ever meet. 🐴❤️

Buddy

Romeo

Romeo

Buddy came to us at 20 years old when his owners could no longer afford his board and wanted a safe, soft landing for him. Though a knee injury ended his riding days, Buddy still has so much to give. He quickly became Logan’s “Buddy” and now helps kids build confidence through treats, grooming, baths, and the quiet companionship of a sweet, well-trained old gentleman. 🐴❤️

Doc

Romeo

Doc

Rescued alongside Romeo from a kill pen, Doc was his loyal companion and best friend. We believe this sweet, gentle soul spent his earlier years as a camp horse. Deeply bonded to Romeo, the two were nearly inseparable. We sadly lost Doc to colic in 2022, but he will forever be part of the herd—and part of the story that started it all. 🌈🐴

But wait, there are more....

Meet the rest of our herd
